Government workstream

Overview of the Government Workstream

Scrutiny of the Executive branch of government will be carried out in this workstream. We will focus on the question of “who has the ear of government?”, with attention to the published ministerial diaries, evaluating the transparency of the government, and looking at who is benefitting from the government of the day.

Outputs scheduled:

• We will publish an annual report drawing on data from the ministerial diaries.

• We will propose improvements to the ministerial diaries system of accountability.

• We evaluate the extent to which government policy decisions are based on evidence and advice.
