The integrity of a democracy rests on the principle that government decisions are made impartially, in the public interest, and free from the distorting influence of private financial interests.
Thank you for your very thorough analysis and recommendations. It's astonishing that this government can get away with this blatant abuse of its position of power. NZ First which got a mere 6% of the vote don't appear to care if they erode public confidence. They are doing it because they can and the coalition is letting them. Our democracy is under attack from all angles. We think that what is happening in USA can't happen here but just look at how this coalition is behaving. Please keep up your work to keep this lot in check.
You suggest a number of remedial actions but unless they include making these actions illegal I fear we are powerless. Of course govts that do this are unlikely to pass such laws, and this govt shows it will ignore attempts to "shame" it into doing what's right. They hold all the cards and can reprint the deck.
Interested to hear what you think of the various unions who contribute substantially to the Labour Party in return for favourable legislation for their members.
$8.2m from a $20,000 investment is a brilliant rate of return. If every New Zealand capitalist follows Scott O'Donnell's splendid example billions will flow into the economy. Finally we get to see how the Luxon government's "growth, growth, growth" plan is intended to work.

It makes it impossible to point a finger at the corrupt funding of TPM
